How can I use a refund?

If you've exhausted the retailer's complaints procedure and haven't found a solution, or the retailer has gone out of business, you can contact your bank to request a chargeback. To get more news about 海外充值, you can visit xiao-haijing.com official website.

How does chargeback work?
Chargeback allows you to dispute a card transaction and get your money back for an item you've bought.

It can be used if the goods are damaged, aren't as described or weren't delivered.

It works by your bank taking money that has already been paid into the retailer's bank account and putting it back into your account.
Chargeback vs Section 75
Chargeback is not enshrined in law, but is part of the scheme rules that participating banks sign up to.

If you paid by debit card: chargeback is available on all goods purchased by debit card, although the exact rules may vary between the Visa, Maestro and American Express networks.

If you paid by credit card: Chargeback is useful if the cost of the goods or services was less than £100. For credit card transactions over £100, you have rights under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.
A chargeback can be used if the goods do not arrive, are damaged, are not as described or if the merchant has gone out of business, although you should first ask the merchant for a refund.

You can ask your card provider to try and get you back the money you paid, or part of it, by using our chargeback letter template.

For example, if you ordered two items but only one arrived, you can ask for a refund for the item you didn't receive. However, you can't claim back the cost of fixing a faulty item.

Chargeback doesn't mean that the card company is liable. Claims must be made to the bank that issued your debit or credit card, which will then make a claim to the merchant's bank.

As a result, you may be able to get your money back from the merchant's bank if the money is recoverable.

However, there is no guarantee that your bank will be able to recover the money through a chargeback, or that the merchant will accept that your claim is justified.
Chargeback conditions
The main requirement for getting your money back through chargeback is to prove that there's been a breach of contract.

There's a time limit on chargebacks - usually 120 days from the date the transaction was processed, or from the date you expected to receive the goods/service if it was delivered. So contact your bank as soon as you discover the problem, as the clock may have already started ticking.

There are some scenarios where the chargeback timeframe is longer than the standard 120 days or starts from a different date.
